Zig Zag Foundation

Executive Committee

The Zig Zag Foundation Executive Committee (EC) consists of a group of dedicated individuals who contribute their time, knowledge, passion & contacts to the Foundation to run a series of charity fundraising events on behalf of the Foundation.

The Zig Zag Foundation Executive Committee:

Michelle Lawson - Founder/ Director

Michelle's motivation for fundraising started back in 1991 with the passing of her grandmother Jean Inglis from breast cancer.

After many years raising money for the Qld Cancer Fund, Michelle turned her focus to fundraising for children's charities such as Challenge (VIC - 2003) and Childhood Cancer Support (Qld - 2005) and the Starlight Foundation (Qld - 2006).

In 2007, Michelle decided it was time to establish a charity with a difference and the Zig Zag Foundation was born.

Zig Zag's point of difference is to remain virtually administration cost free and to help children in need (0-18 years) that are sick, at risk or under-privileged.

Michelle's focus is on the overall running of the charity, corporate and event sponsorship, annual charity ball co-ordination and is also part of the funding committee.

Michelle works full time as the Group Financial Controller for DGL (Aust) & DGL (NZ) who support Michelle and the charity wherever possible.
